Behind-the-Scenes of Our Spring '14 "Madagascar Edition" Photo Shoot

Another PVBLIC season is designed, done, shot and off to the trade shows! This time we're taking our customer to the African Island of Madagascar. We had our lookbook shoot for "Madagascar Edition"last weekend.

Photo shoots can be both the best and worst time of the season for us. The planning and stress is a bit overwhelming but seeing the last 5-6 months of work come to fruition (something literally created from nothing) is super gratifying! In saying all of that, we couldn't do it without the help of many people...so a huge thanks to Marcell, Andrey, Carlos, Bronwen, RJ, Michael, Ryan, Klavierhaus for the space and of course photog Meg Urbani and Models Zuleika & Carlens. xoxo!

Check out some behind-the-scenes snaps and vids of our Spring/Summer 2014 collection below!

Michael was our plant designer and beautifully handled the leaves & props (much better job than I'm attempting here).

And below is a sneak peek of some of the final photos. Thanks again to everyone involved. Full lookbook coming soon!

Behind-the-Scenes of Our Fall '13 "Mongolia Edition" Photo Shoot

Let us take you on a journey to Ancient Mongolia, the setting for PVBLIC's Fall/Winter 2013 collection, "Mongolia Edition" - inspired by the Great Mongolian Empire and it's legendary leader Genghis Khan.

And what a whirlwind our photo shoot for "Mongolia Edition" was! We were lucky enough to have a fantastic team: Photographer David Larson was back again to shoot the campaign. Models Suki Santos (affectionately dubbed Suki Stackhouse on set) from SUPREME agency and Thomas Vollmar from FUSION provided their beautiful faces. Roger Joseph swooped in to save us and did an absolutely fabulous job on the hair and head wraps. And thanks to Michael, Allie Smith for makeup and to Marcell Rocha for another amazing job with the styling. All of your help is invaluable! Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone!

Check out some behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot below:

Spring '13 "Galapagos Edition" Photo Shoot Preview

Last week on a hot summer day, kick-ass photographer Jason Rodgers shot the campaign for our upcoming Spring/Summer '13 collection "Galapagos Edition" in an artist's studio in Williamsburg. We couldn't be more grateful and in love with the results! The gorgeous Madeleine from Marilyn agency was our female model and upcoming male model Manuel Mendez rocked the men's looks. Thanks to Ahbi Nishman who did the beachy hair and bronzy, summer make-up.

Special thanks to our super-fab intern Krystal too and to Michael and Ryan for helping out. Much love.

So Happy I Could 'Dye'

Lately we've been obsessed with Shibori, Indigo, Tying, etc. Since it was a lovely June day yesterday, the PVBLIC team got together, dressed down to our very worst, took it outside and got our Tie Dye on! The results were fab and our hands stayed surprisingly stain free. That's right, we're pros. Don't let 'em tell you any different ;)
