PVBLIC Featured on "The Snobette"
Samia and Lois from HighSnobiety launched a new website TheSnobette.com in the Spring. The goal of TheSnobette.com is to "always is to celebrate those creative line steppers, the risk takers who elevate the game". We're delighted to be in that category as PVBLIC's "Madagascar Edition" was featured on the webmag late last week! Thanks Snobette!

Spring/Summer 2014 "Madagascar Edition" - Ready to Launch!
Did you know that Madagascar’s flora and fauna are so different from anywhere else on Earth that it is often referred to as "the eighth continent"? We chose this African island for our Spring/Summer 2014 collection and we're finally ready to share the collection with the world.

Behind-the-Scenes of Our Spring '14 "Madagascar Edition" Photo Shoot
Another PVBLIC season is designed, done, shot and off to the trade shows! This time we're taking our customer to the African Island of Madagascar. We had our lookbook shoot for "Madagascar Edition"last weekend.
Photo shoots can be both the best and worst time of the season for us. The planning and stress is a bit overwhelming but seeing the last 5-6 months of work come to fruition (something literally created from nothing) is super gratifying! In saying all of that, we couldn't do it without the help of many people...so a huge thanks to Marcell, Andrey, Carlos, Bronwen, RJ, Michael, Ryan, Klavierhaus for the space and of course photog Meg Urbani and Models Zuleika & Carlens. xoxo!
Check out some behind-the-scenes snaps and vids of our Spring/Summer 2014 collection below!

PVBLIC Featured in Interactive Webzine 'SHK'.
We are so proud to be featured in SHK (Seen / Heard / Known) Magazine. If you have not yet seen this digital mag, prepare for your mind to be abuzz! You can see the whole issue online, but it's the iPad experience that really stuns. It's like a traditional magazine but super-interactive with beautiful, artsy, transparent layers, clickable music clips from upcoming artists and travel tidbits all shown in this exciting two-way transfer of information. Really incredible and we're so happy to have a few of our men's pieces from various collections in there! See below for the screenshots.
From the mag's site:

PVBLIC is a 'Smash'!
Last night's episode of NBC's Smash entitled "The Fringe" featured not one but two PVBLIC shirts from our Fall '12 "Ukraine Edition"! Amazing!
The funniest part is that PVBLIC is being worn by the character of "Kyle" (who plays a writer of the show-within-the-show) and he starts the scene by saying "Oh hey someone tweeted about us". See they need press too! So this blog post right here is life imitating art, imitating life.

I Want My MTV Monday - "Galapagos Edition"
With the music in MTV long gone, we yearn for getting songs daily in video form. So just in time for PVBLIC's "Galapagos Edition" hitting the stores, we've compiled a video playlist in honor of those magically, mystical islands. We give you:
Beirut, "The Rip Tide" - the video for this song is simply stunning and completely inspirational.
Modest Mouse, "King Rat"- Modest Mouse as a band is full of tales and imagery of the great sea. Their animated video for "King Rat" is a protest against illegal whale hunts directed by the late Heath Ledger. I'd personally go more with "The Whale Song" here (which I listened to incessantly while designing "Galapagos Edition") but the video for "King Rat" fits more within our theme. So here it is!
and of course, The Smashing Pumpkins, "Galapogos" - of which there has never been an official video, but the geek in me felt the need to link to this Final Fantasy fanvid. Holla.
