Spring '13 "Galapagos Edition" Photo Shoot Preview

Last week on a hot summer day, kick-ass photographer Jason Rodgers shot the campaign for our upcoming Spring/Summer '13 collection "Galapagos Edition" in an artist's studio in Williamsburg. We couldn't be more grateful and in love with the results! The gorgeous Madeleine from Marilyn agency was our female model and upcoming male model Manuel Mendez rocked the men's looks. Thanks to Ahbi Nishman who did the beachy hair and bronzy, summer make-up.

Special thanks to our super-fab intern Krystal too and to Michael and Ryan for helping out. Much love.

Check out our photo journal below:
The accessories table of fun...
Jayme and I doing our jobs. Primping, smoothing, pinning, clipping...
Krystal prepping the clothing and being an all around savior!

And here's a little sneak peek of one of my favorite pages of our Spring '13 Lookbook:

Is our Ekwok Pant in Your Top Ten?

Shout out to Gabby Etrog Cohen, director of PR for hot spinning studio SoulCycle. Gabby listed our favorite "Ekwok Traditional" Pant as one of her Top Ten Things on shopping site, Beso.com. Our founder Jayme definitely agrees, he wears them suckers like every single day and even cut a pair into shorts. Hilarious side note: Many people accidentally refer to them as "Ewok" pants, like the furry creatures from Star Wars as opposed to the lovely Yupik village in Alaska they were truly named after. Hee!

Annnyway, if you're looking for a pair to add to your own top ten, they still have a few left at Kitson!

Mermaid Hair...

It's that multi-tasking time of year for us here at PVBLIC headquarters. We're not only gearing up to ship Fall '12 "Ukraine Edition", but we're also putting the finishing touches on designing our Spring '13 line and for some reason it's got me all about the mermaid hair. Sephora's got a great Pinterest board about such fun things and the below tutorial could not be more "Galapagos Edition". Yep, there I said it, off to the magical islands of the Galapagos are where we're headed next and this chick's hair is so reminiscent of our Spring color palette. Try it out if you just happen to be feeling like an enchanted creature of the sea today.

Kim Jones Does it Again.

If you were lucky to be in Paris the other night and were fabulous enough to be invited, you would have witnessed a super hot show: the S/S 2013 Louis Vuitton menswear collection designed by the one and only Kim Jones. Jones's dope styling and design aesthetic definitely showed in what was dubbed "Water to Earth" and brought a new and refreshing feel to the typical nautical looks you've seen before. Pops of neon added a fresh twist to the classic Vuitton brand.

You can check out the full show here.
